The MH-60S Seahawk missions are anti-surface warfare, combat support, humanitarian disaster relief, combat search and rescue, aero medical evacuation, SPECWAR and organic airborne mine countermeasures.
Description
The MH-60S multi-mission helicopter is based on the UH-60L Blackhawk helicopter with numerous modifications to support deployment in the maritime environment aboard aviation ships and air-capable vessels. airframe with a glass and "common cockpit," which is shared with the MH-60R. The MH-60S replaced the fleet’s legacy CH-46D Sea Knight and HH-60H Seahawk helicopters.
