Sexual Assault Reports: Week of June 8-14

This week's overview of alleged sexual assaults is compiled based on 13 initial reports across the Navy from June 8-14. This timeframe reflects only the receipt of the initial reports; three of the reported incidents occurred during this period, eight occurred outside of the report period and two occurred during an unknown period. Each report will be fully investigated. Looking at this snapshot in time, we see the following:
* Seven reports are from events that occurred on-base, one is from an event that occurred off-base, and five are from events at unknown locations.
* Among the 23 alleged offenders, one was a chief petty officer, 16 were petty officers, one was E-3 and below, two were civilians, and three were unknown.
* Twenty of the alleged offenders were male, two were female and one was unknown.
* Eleven of the reported incidents were alleged to be service member on service member, one was non-service member on service member and one was unknown.
* Among the 13 alleged victims, one was a midshipman, nine were petty officers and three were E-3 and below. Twelve of the alleged victims were female and one was male.
