CNO: Shipmates, CNO Gilday here with my wife Linda, to wish you Happy Holidays and express our gratitude for what you do day-in and day-out. We could not be more proud of how each and every one of you tackled the challenges of this past year. And to those who are deployed far forward standing the watch today - thank you.

Linda: During this holiday season, we hope you take time to recharge and spend time with those who matter most to you – your family, friends, and loved ones. We also want to acknowledge however that this is not a time of complete joy for everyone. 

CNO: That’s right Linda. There are many who are struggling right now, find themselves alone, or wish things were different.

Linda: No matter your situation, there are shipmates, families and friends ready to do whatever they can to help you find hope. Reach out, ask someone for help…. Don’t let stigma stand in your way.

CNO: Now is the time to talk to your people.  Listen to them.  And be available.

Linda: People are what make our Navy great. We are a family.

CNO: We need you in our Navy… And we promise to be there when you need us.

Linda: To all of our Sailors, Civilians, their families and loved ones…
