(Feb. 3, 2023) Marines from 3rd Assault Amphibian Battalion, 1st Marine Division, approach the amphibious transport dock USS Somerset (LPD 25) during a certification exercise off the coast of Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., Feb. 3, 2023. The certification exercise was conducted in order to certify 3rd Assault Amphibian Battalion for ship-to-shore and vehicle recovery operations.
