(March 31, 2023) The Independence-variant variant littoral combat ship USS Santa Barbara (LCS 32) is in port at Naval Base Ventura County (NBVC) for its commissioning ceremony, March 31, 2023. NBVC is a strategically located naval installation composed of three operating facilities: Point Mugu, Port Hueneme and San Nicolas Island.
