Bold Credible Leadership

USS Missouri CPO Legacy Academy

Sept. 2, 1945. On the weathered decks of the battleship USS Missouri, Fleet Adm. Chester W. Nimitz signs the Japanese Instrument of Surrender, officially ending World War II.

Nearly 70 years later, 43 Pacific Fleet chief petty officer selectees lived, worked and trained aboard this storied warship for an entire week as part of the USS Missouri CPO Legacy Academy.

Watch as these Sailors learn the teamwork and camaraderie that serve as the framework for what it means to be a chief petty officer in the United States Navy.
