DAHLGREN, Va. Sept. 13-14, 2017

An artist's rendering of the live-fire event at the 2017 USS Dahlgren Annual Naval Technology Exercise (ANTX). The event demonstrated netted manned and unmanned system integration for surface warfare in the littorals. ANTX featured a high fidelity distributed environment to support systems development, data collection and capability solutions across warfare centers. WASHINGTON June 28, 2016

An artist rendering of the future USS Bougainville (LHA 8). Huntington Ingalls Industries' Ingalls Shipbuilding division is scheduled to begin construction in the fourth quarter of 2018, and delivery is expected in 2024. Bougainville will retain the aviation capability of the America-class design while adding a well deck capable of launching two landing craft air cushion hovercraft or one landing craft utility.
