  • A UH-1Y Venom helicopter assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 163 (Reinforced), 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), takes off from the flight deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Boxer (LHD 4) during a strait transit. The Boxer Amphibious Ready Group and the 11th MEU are deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and the Pacific through the western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.   • The Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Normandy (CG 60), front, the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75) and the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Lassen (DDG 82) transit the Atlantic Ocean. Harry S.   • The crew of the Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Chancellorsville (CG 62) takes on fuel during a replenishment-at-sea with the Royal Canadian Navy supply ship MV Asterix. Chancellorsville, part of Carrier Strike Group 5, is currently participating in Talisman Sabre 2019 off the coast of Northern Australia. A bilateral, biennial event Talisman Sabre is designed to improve U.S. and Australian combat training, readiness and interoperability through realistic, relevant training necessary to maintain regional security, peace and stability.
