  • The guided-missile destroyer USS Jason Dunham (DDG 109) flies the battle ensign and the flag of France during a three week integration of the French navy La Fayette-class frigate FS Courbet (F 712) with Task Force 55. Jason Dunham is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and the Pacific through the western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.   • The Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman prepares to get underway, Nov. 14, 2018 following a scheduled port visit in Lisbon, Portugal. Currently operating in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations, Harry S. Truman will continue to foster cooperation with regional allies and partners, strengthen regional stability, and remain vigilant, agile and dynamic.   • The littoral combat ship USS Sioux City (LCS 11) transits the Severn River before it arrives at the U.S. Naval Academy. Sioux City, slated for commissioning Nov. 17, will be the thirteenth littoral combat ship to enter the fleet and the sixth of the Freedom variant.   • Equipment Operator 3rd Class Dustin Greenawalt and Equipment Operator Constructionman Thomas Jung, both assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 3, Detachment San Clemente Island, operate a backhoe and an excavator to dig out a dirt lot for an aerial target drone launch site project. NMCB-3 is forward deployed throughout the Indo-Pacific region and United States ready to support major combat operations, theater security, humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations. Seabees provide general engineering and civil support to Navy, Marine Corps and joint operational forces globally.
