The U.S. Naval Test Pilot School conducted its first flight of ASTARS III, August 21. The custom tailored C-26 Metroliner is the school's newest flying classroom equipped with Naval subsystems and a matching simulation lab further advancing its modernized syllabus.
Rear Adm. Shane G. Gahagan turned over command of the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) to Rear Adm. John S. Lemmon during a change of command ceremony on Wednesday, Sept. 5 at Patuxent River Naval Air Station.
Lt. Col. Rory Feely became the 49th commander of the United States Naval Test Pilot School (USNTPS) following a change of command ceremony today. Feely took over from Cmdr. Glenn P. Rioux who served as the school's commanding officer since July 2018.
