  • Sailors and Department of the Navy (DoN) civilians assigned to Naval Information Forces (NAVIFOR), Naval Network Warfare Command, U.S. Fleet Cyber Command/U.S. 10th Fleet South and Navy Cyber Defense Operations Command came together to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. Members of the Multicultural Committee served ethnic dishes to attendees of the Hispanic American Heritage Month ceremony in the Information Warfare Corps Hall of Heroes auditorium. This year's theme "Embracing, Enriching, and Enabling America" represents Hispanic Americans walking together with those who share the honor of calling this nation home. More than 150 Sailors and DoN civilians attended the event, which featured speeches, music, food and fellowship, honoring both the contributions of Hispanics and Hispanic-Americans, as well as the rich Hispanic culture enjoyed by our nation.   • Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Alexis Valenzuela, from San Diego, ensures an MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter assigned to the "Sea Knights" of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 22 remains clear during a vertical replenishment. The hospital ship USNS Comfort (T-AH 20) is shown in the background. Comfort is on an 11-week medical support mission to Central and South America as part of U.S. Southern Command's Enduring Promise initiative. Working with health and government partners in Ecuador, Peru, Colombia and Honduras, the embarked medical team will provide care on board and at land-based medical sites, helping to relieve pressure on national medical systems caused partly by an increase in cross-border migrants. The deployment reflects the United States' enduring promise of friendship, partnership and solidarity with the Americas.
