More than 130 volunteers burned between 400 and 700 calories during this hour-long spin bike event. This was the first time NBSD has hosted Spin4Kids, which encourages fitness while promoting the Month of the Military Child and Child Abuse Awareness Month. Browne, commanding officer of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72), watches as Abraham Lincoln pulls alongside the fast combat support ship USNS Arctic (T-AOE 8) during a replenishment-at-sea. The Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and the Pacific through the western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
