  • A Morale Welfare and Recreation (MWR) fitness instructor leads participants in Spin4Kids at Naval Base San Diego's (NBSD) Admiral Prout Field. More than 130 volunteers burned between 400 and 700 calories during this hour-long spin bike event. This was the first time NBSD has hosted Spin4Kids, which encourages fitness while promoting the Month of the Military Child and Child Abuse Awareness Month.   • U.S. Air Force Major Gen. Lee E. Payne, lead for the Department of Defense COVID-19 Task Force, Diagnostics and Testing Line of Effort, visits Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) to observe COVID-19 testing efforts and to thank staff for their hard work and continued dedication during the coronavirus pandemic. Payne visited the centralized screening area, where patients are screened via drive-thru or walk-in, and the microbiology lab testing COVID-19 samples. WRNMMC and all military treatment facilities in the National Capital Region efforts are in support of the whole of government effort to combat COVID-19 along the East Coast of the United States.
