  • The guided-missile destroyer USS Jason Dunham (DDG 109) fires its Mark 45 5-inch gun as part of a live-fire demonstration for visiting Brig. Gen. Matthew Trollinger, commander of Task Force 51/5th Marine Expeditionary Brigade, during a shipboard visit to discuss Navy and Marine Corps interoperability. Jason Dunham is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and the Pacific through the western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
