  • The Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3) transits the Suez Canal. Kearsarge is the flagship for the Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group and, with the embarked 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and the Pacific through the Western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.   • Naval Aircrewman (Helicopter) 2nd Class Matt Braaten, from Lacenter, Washington, flies in an MH-60S Seahawk assigned to the "Dragon Whales" of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 28, currently attached to the hospital ship USNS Comfort (T-AH 20).   • The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Carney (DDG 64) transits through the Atlantic Ocean with the Santa Maria-class Spanish frigate Numancia (F83) during a war-at-sea exercise, June 24, 2019.
