Rear Admiral Keith M. Jones

Rear Adm. Keith Jones, a native of Ferriday, Louisiana, was commissioned through Officer Candidate School and earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and a Master of Business Administration in Management from California State University Bakersfield.

He served on active duty aboard USS Enterprise (CVN 65) and has held command of Navy Overseas Air Cargo Terminal E208; Navy Cargo Handling Battalion 6; Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk Det. 206; Commander Naval Air Forces Atlantic Supply 1086; Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Operations Team-Atlanta; and Commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet Logistics Readiness Center Headquarters 120.

During recall to active duty at Commander, United States Naval Forces Central Command in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Jones served in a dual-hatted role as commander, Navy Expeditionary Logistics Support Group Forward Mike and commander, U.S. 5th Fleet Task Group 56.3 at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait and further supported Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan and the final U.S. drawdown from Iraq in Operation New Dawn.

Jones is assigned as the deputy commander, Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) with oversight of active, reserve, civilian and contractor teams supporting fleet logistics around the globe. His previous flag assignments were commander, Navy Expeditionary Logistics Support Group and reserve director, logistics programs and business operations, N41, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations.

Jones is the first-ever Supply Corps reserve officer to receive the Vice Adm. Robert F. Batchelder Award for excellence in operational logistics support. He is a qualified Expeditionary Supply Corps officer and Seabee combat warfare officer. His personal awards include the Legion of Merit, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (four awards), Navy Commendation Medal (four awards), Joint Service Achievement Medal and Navy Achievement Medal and various unit, campaign and service awards.
