MANAMA, Bahrain (NNS) -- Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Global Logistics Support (GLS) Commander Rear Adm. Grafton Chase and Command Master Chief Chris Fitzgerald visited NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) Bahrain, Jan. 8-10.

This was Rear Adm. Chase's first visit since taking command of NAVSUP GLS, and the purpose of the visit was to meet with Sailors and observe operations in the 5th fleet area of operations (AOO).

"It takes a team to function smoothly and effectively as we do while supporting our troops and their families overseas. Receiving this personal recognition from Rear Adm. Chase reinforces the idea that our hard work is being recognized throughout the chain of command and the fleet," said Logistics Specialist 2nd Class Fabienne Augustin, NAVSUP FLC Bahrain. "I would like to thank Rear Adm. Chase for taking the time aside from his demanding schedule to come see how we are functioning in the 5th Fleet area of operations to provide exceptional services."
