MILLINGTON, Tenn. (NNS) -- Officers now have another way to submit their official photographs to their Official Military Personnel File (OMPF), Navy leaders said May 13.

Now officers can upload their photo through MyNavy Portal (MNP). Navigate to, go to “MyRecord,” “Other Record Sites of Interest,” and there the “Officer Photograph” tile can be found. When clicked, an electronic Officer Photograph form (NAVPERS Form 1070/884) opens and photos can be uploaded directly into the form and then submitted to the OMPF.

Along with this new capability, the new Officer Photograph form will require members to use their DOD ID rather than their Social Security Number. This is in accordance with the Navy chief information officer’s SSN reduction plan.

A tutorial for this new application can also be found on MNP under the Officer Photograph link. Traditional mailed submissions remain acceptable as an alternative.
