Naval Operational Logistics Support Center Changes Command

NORFOLK, Va. (NNS) -- Naval Supply Systems Command's (NAVSUP) Naval Operational Logistics Support Center (NOLSC) welcomed a new commader in a change of command ceremony July 23.

Capt. James L. Shields III, relieved Capt. Raymond J. Rodriguez, as NOLSC's commanding officer. Rear Adm. Michael J. Lyden, commander, NAVSUP, and chief of the Supply Corps was the presiding officer.

Prior to assuming command of NOLSC, Shields served as NAVSUP chief of staff, Mechanicsburg, Pa.

Among his many assignments, Shields served at the U.S. Embassy Kuwait as the director of Security Cooperation.

Rodriguez now serves as deputy director for aviation at NAVSUP's Naval Inventory Control Point, Philadephia, Pa.
