SAN DIEGO (NNS) -- Training Support Center San Diego (TSCSD) announced its 2015 Civilians of the Quarter (COQ) for the first quarter during an award ceremony on March 5.

Marilyn "Candy" Azhocar was named the Senior COQ and Mark A. San Agustin was named Junior COQ at the event.

Working at TSCSD since July 1991, Azhocar manages the Quota Control department that supports all Navy schools in the Pacific region.

"I am fortunate to have received this honor and am successful because of the excellent team cohesion," said Azhocar. "It feels rewarding knowing that I am doing my part to help train the fleet to protect our country,"

Arriving at TSCSD in March 2011, San Agustin is the Urinalysis Program Coordinator Manager (UPCM) and Operational Screenings Coordinator.

"I enjoy TSC's great working environment which includes a military and civilian staff that are professional and strive to accomplish the TSC mission," said San Agustin.
According the Capt. Robert E. Beauchamp, TSCSD commanding officer, civilians are a critical part of the command's team.

"The Navy defines minimum training requirements prior to deploying our ships and squadrons to sea, and our goal is to exceed those requirements. Ms. Azhocar and Mr. San Agustin work toward that goal each day," Beauchamp said.
