ATLANTIC OCEAN (Oct. 25, 2018) Marines assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 264 (Reinforced), 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), huddle prior to assisting infantry Marines assigned to Battalion Landing Team, 1st Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 22nd MEU in a fast rope training during Carrier Strike Group 4 composite training unit exercise (COMPTUEX) aboard the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3), Oct. 25, 2018. COMPTUEX is the final pre-deployment exercise that certifies the combined Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group and 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit's abilities to conduct military operations at sea and project power ashore through joint planning and execution of challenging and realistic scenarios.
