FALEOLO, Samoa (Feb. 21, 2008) Commander, U.S. Pacific Command, Adm. Timothy J. Keating receives a gift from Samoan Prime Minister Tuilaepa during a recent visit to the country. Keating met with Tuilaepa to discuss U.S. and Samoa relations, to include further developing humanitarian assistance and disaster response capabilities and enhancing civil-military engagements. Keating expressed his appreciation for Samoa's involvement in regional peacekeeping operations. This is Keating's first visit to Samoa as Commander, U.S. Pacific Command.
