Pearl Harbor, Hawaii (Sept. 19, 2004) - Commanding Officer of the guided missile destroyer USS Chung-Hoon (DDG 93), Cmdr. Kenneth L. Williams Jr., escorts Hawaii Governor Linda Lingle to the brow at his ships commissioning ceremony in Pearl Harbor. The ship is named in honor of Rear Adm. Gordon Paie'a Chung-Hoon, who was born and raised in Hawaii and awarded the Navy Cross and Silver Star for gallantry as Commanding Officer of USS Sigsbee during the Battle of Okinawa.
