Rear Admiral Jeffrey Anderson

Rear Adm. Jeffrey T. Anderson is a native of Fayetteville, Georgia. He graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1991, with a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering.  He is also a graduate of the Naval War College with Master of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies.  He was designated a naval aviator in 1994.

He served operationally as a pilot of FA-18C/E/F fighter jets and commanded Carrier Air Wing (CVW) Three and Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 37 “Ragin’ Bulls.” Additional operational tours include VFA-81 “Sunliners” and VFA-82 “Marauders”.  He deployed multiple times on USS Enterprise (CVN 65), USS Eisenhower (CVN 69), USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71), and USS Harry S Truman (CVN 75) in support of Operation Deliberate Forge, Southern Watch, Enduring Freedom, Iraqi Freedom, and Inherent Resolve.

Anderson’s shore assignments include the Naval Strike and Air Warfare Center as a Topgun instructor and training officer and VFA-106 as training officer and operations officer.  His staff assignments include assistant chief of staff for training and readiness for Commander, Naval Air Forces Atlantic Fleet and the Joint Staff in Washington District of Columbia where he served in the global force management branch of the Directorate for Regional Operations (J-33).  He also served as deputy executive assistant to the 18th Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and as executive assistant to the Commander, U.S. Fleet Forces Command and U.S. Indo-Pacific Command.
