RDML Frank Schlereth, a native of Haddon Township, New Jersey, graduated from Villanova University and was commissioned via Naval Reserve Officer Training in 1995. He is a 2006 graduate of the Naval War College and an Office of the Director National Intelligence 2018-2019 Fellow.

Operational assignments include VFA-22 intelligence officer within Carrier Air Wing Eleven embarked on USS Carl Vinson; U.S. Sixth Fleet Intelligence officer responsible for collections and current intelligence embarked onboard USS LaSalle and USS Mount Whitney. He has participated in Operations Southern Watch, Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom and numerous 5th and 6th Fleet actions.

Shore assignments include: Defense Intelligence Agency Enabling Officer; Defense Attaché Tel Aviv, Israel; OPNAV N2/N6 representative to OPNAV N3/N5; OPNAV N2X; Defense Attaché Athens, Greece; Defense Intelligence Agency Directorate of Operations – East Asia Division; Defense Attaché Service – Chief of Operations; Executive Officer to Director of Defense Intelligence Agency.

Schlereth’s personal awards include the Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with Combat “V”; Joint Achievement Medal, and the Navy Achievement Medal.
