Rear Adm. Neil Koprowski is a native of Selden, New York. He is a 1995 graduate from the U.S. Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science in Oceanography. He earned a Master of Science in Financial Management from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California.
A surface warfare officer, his sea duty assignments include USS John Paul Jones (DDG 53), USS Juneau (LPD 10), USS Dubuque (LPD 8), USS Rodney M. Davis (FFG 60), USS Anzio (CG 68) and Carrier Strike Group 10.
He commanded USS San Antonio (LPD 17) and USS Kearsarge (LHD 3).
