Rear Adm. Todd Figanbaum graduated with honors from the University of Idaho with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics. During his career, he earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of South Carolina and was a fellow of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Seminar XXI program.
His operational tours include division officer on USS Boise (SSN 764), engineer officer on USS Maryland (SSBN 738) Gold Crew, executive officer of USS Providence (SSN 719), commanding officer of USS Alaska (SSBN 732) Blue Crew and commodore of Submarine Squadron 17.
