Rear Admiral Matthew L. Bolls

Rear Adm. Matthew Bolls serves as the Logistics, Fleet Supply and Ordnance Officer for the U.S. Pacific Fleet

A native of Jackson, Mississippi and raised in Niger, West Africa, he graduated from Ouachita Baptist University in Arkansas with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and earned his commission through Officer Candidate School in 1999. He holds a Master of Business Administration in Supply Chain Management from the Naval Postgraduate School.

Bolls recently served as Executive Officer to Director, Defense Logistics Agency at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. Afloat, he served on USS McFaul (DDG 74), USS Shiloh (CG 67), USS Chancellorsville (CG 62), and USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74).

His ashore assignments include command of Fleet Logistics Center Jacksonville; Aviation Operations Director (N98), NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support; Deputy, Multinational Interagency Division, Joint Staff (J4); Program Objective Memorandum Development, OPNAV N80 (Bullpen); Director, Aviation Support Equipment IWST; Director, Rotary Wing Contracts Department, NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support; Joint Contracting Command–Iraq/Afghanistan; Flag Aide to Commander, Fleet Industrial Supply Centers; and Naval Acquisition Contracting Officer, Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Pearl Harbor.

His personal awards include the Vice Admiral Robert F. Batchelder Award, Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, and Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
