Rear Adm. Alan Reyes is the son of a retired Navy chief warrant officer and earned a Bachelor of Science from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1990 and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Virginia in 2000.
His previous flag assignments include reserve director, Logistics, Fleet Supply and Ordnance, U.S. Pacific Fleet, and commander, Navy Expeditionary Logistics Support Group.

Personal awards include the Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal (three awards), Navy Marine Corps Commendation Medal (six awards), Joint Service Achievement Medal and Navy Marine Corps Achievement Medal (two awards). In his civilian career, he is Chief of International Operations for Spirit of America, where he sets the operational strategy and leads Spirit of America’s global operations organization to continually identify, develop, and execute opportunities to make an asymmetrical impact on US national security objectives and to promote freedom, democracy, and prosperity around the world.
