Rear Admiral Dennis Collins

Rear Adm. Dennis Collins is a native of Centennial, Colorado. He is a 1996 graduated of DePaul University with a bachelor’s degree in commerce and received a direct commission to the Supply Corps in 1998. He earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Denver in 2004 and completed Joint Professional Military Education from the Naval War College and National Defense University Joint Forces Staff College.

He served as supply officer for Naval Mobile Construction Battalion TWENTY FIVE; Air Cargo Detachment Assistant Officer In Charge, Task Force 53; training officer, Navy Cargo Handling Battalion SEVEN; air readiness officer, Navy Expeditionary Logistics Support Group (NAVELSG); officer in charge of  NAVELSG Training and Evaluation Unit; executive officer, Navy Cargo Handling Battalion FOURTEEN; and logistics exercise planner in the J7 Directorate of US Indo-Pacific Command.

Collins command assignments include Naval Reserve (NR) NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Sigonella Det C; Navy Cargo Handling Battalion FIVE; NR SEVENTH Fleet Logistics Readiness Center Det; NR US Indo-Pacific Command Det 401; and commodore, FIFTH Navy Expeditionary Logistics Regiment.

He is qualified as a Navy Expeditionary Supply Corps officer and Seabee Combat Warfare specialist and is a 2003 recipient of the VADM Robert F. Batchelder Award for exceptional operational competence while assigned to NCHB 7.  His personal awards include the Defense Superior Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal, and Navy Achievement Medal.
