Rear Admiral Julie M. Treanor

Rear Admiral Julie Treanor is a native of Sterling Park, Virginia. She is a 1994 graduate of the United States Naval Academy. She earned master’s degrees in Business Administration from the University of Florida and Military Art and Operational Science from the Air Command and Staff College. She is also a graduate of University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business Executive Training Program, the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School’s Institute for Defense and Business Logistics and Technology Advanced Program, and the Naval Postgraduate School Navy Senior Leader Seminar.

Treanor previously commanded Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Fleet Logistics Center in Norfolk, VA. Afloat she served as commissioning supply officer, USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78); principal assistant for logistics, principal assistant for service and assistant supply officer, USS Enterprise (CVN 65); and wardroom officer, hazmat officer and materials officer, USS Boxer (LHD 4).

Other assignments include chief of staff, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations (N4L); chief of staff, Joint Staff (J4); director of Industrial Support, Naval Sea Systems Command (04S); deputy force supply officer, Commander Naval Air Forces Atlantic; director, F/A-18 & EA-18G Integrated Weapon Support Team, NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support; aviation supply officer, U.S. Marine Forces Command; CVN/LHD logistics readiness officer, Commander Naval Air Forces Pacific; action officer, Secretary of the Navy Office of White House Liaison; deputy program manager for Logistics, Commander Navy Region Southeast.

She is qualified as a Surface Warfare Supply Corps Officer and Naval Aviation Supply Corps Officer. She is an Acquisition Professional Member and a Joint Qualified Officer.

Her personal awards include the Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit (two awards), Meritorious Service Medal (five awards), Navy Commendation Medal (four awards), Navy Achievement Medal (three awards) and she is a 2012 recipient of the Admiral Stanley R. Arthur Award for Logistics Excellence.
