Rear Admiral Marc F. Williams

Rear Adm. Williams is a native of La Mesa, California. He is a graduate with merit of the U. S. Naval Academy where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Ocean Engineering and commissioned in 1998. He also holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Cincinnati. He is designated a Seabee Combat Warfare Specialist, a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Virginia, and a certified Six Sigma Green Belt. Williams affiliated with the Navy Reserve in 2006.   

Williams’ operational tours include assignments as engineering officer, Detail San Diego assistant officer in charge, and Air Detachment officer in charge, Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 3; officer in charge, Construction Battalion Unit 427; operations department, 1st Naval Construction Division; current operations officer, 1st Naval Construction Regiment; and executive officer, Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 27. His contingency tours include deployments in support of Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 3’s mission with Joint Task Force Shining Hope and Task Force Falcon; 1st Naval Construction Regiment’s mission with Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom; and officer in charge, Cooperative Security in Jebel Ali, Arab Emirates.

His facilities and staff tours include assistant public works officer, Naval Base Coronado; assistant resident officer in charge of construction, Naval Base San Diego; staff engineer, U. S. Southern Command; staff engineer, Naval Facility Engineering Command Contingency Engineering Unit; and deputy chief of staff, Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Headquarters.

Williams has previously commanded Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 14 and 1st Naval Construction Regiment.

His decorations include the Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal (three awards), Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (three Awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (two Awards), Army Achievement Medal, and numerous unit and campaign awards.
