Rear Admiral Troy S. Pugh

Rear Adm.Troy Pugh is a native of Logansport, Indiana. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Finance in 1994 and received a direct commission in the Supply Corps in 1998. In 2006, he earned a Master of Business Administration from Pfeiffer University and completed Joint Professional Military Education from the Air Command & Staff College and Advanced Joint Professional Military Education from the National Defense University Joint Forces Staff College.

His Reserve assignments include Company Commander, Navy Cargo Handling Battalion FOUR; Training Officer, Navy Cargo Handling Battalion FOUR; Flag Logistician, Strike Group TWO; Supply Officer, Naval Mobile Construction Battalion FOURTEEN; Executive Officer and CO Acting for Navy Cargo Handling Battalion FOUR; Action Officer, Joint Chiefs of Staff, Operations Officer for FOURTH Navy Expeditionary Logistics Regiment.

Rear Adm. Pugh’s command assignments include Naval Cargo Handling Battalion TEN; NR Defense Logistics Agency Distribution, Norfolk; Commodore, SECOND Navy Expeditionary Logistics Regiment; and NR US Indo-Pacific Command Det 401.

In 2003, he was mobilized in support of Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom as Watch Officer Sixth Fleet Forward Logistics Support Site Cyprus. In 2007, he mobilized as Material Liaison Officer for Navy Mobile Construction Battalion FORTY, Kuwait and Retrograde Officer for 22nd Navy Construction Regiment Iraq.

He is qualified as a Navy Expeditionary Supply Corps Officer, Naval Aviation Supply Officer, Sea bee Combat Warfare Specialist and is a Joint Qualified Officer. He is the 2009 recipient of the VADM Robert F. Batchelder Award and his personal awards include the Defense Superior Service Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal and Navy Achievement Medal.
