Rear Adm. Dan Lannamann is a native of Camden, Maine. He enlisted in the Navy as a Gunner’s Mate (Missile) in 1983. He commissioned in 1994 through the Enlisted Commissioning Program where he earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maine. He holds a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School.
Lannamann’s sea tours include USS Towers (DDG 9), USS Stout (DDG 55), USS Ashland (LSD 48), and USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) serving as Chief Engineer. He completed an Individual Augmentee tour with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Gulf Region Division Baghdad, Iraq.
His shore tours include SUPSHIP Ingleside; Production Officer, Ship Repair Facility Japan Regional Maintenance Center (SRF-JRMC); Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility; Officer in Charge, SRF-JRMC; Waterfront Operations Officer, Southwest Regional Maintenance Center; and Assistant Chief of Staff for Maintenance and Engineering (N43), Commander, Naval Surface Force Pacific Fleet; Program Manager, Carrier Planning Activity.
Lannamann’s command tours include Commanding Officer, Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center and Commanding Officer, SRF-JRMC. In November 2024, he was selected for Rear Admiral (lower half) and assumed the role of Commander, Naval Regional Maintenance Centers on 12 March 2025.
