Rear Adm. Wesley P. Bringham

RDML Wes Bringham is a native of Dallas, Texas and a 1995 graduate of Texas A&M University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering. Graduate education has included the Naval War College, where he graduated with distinction and achieved certification as a Naval Operational Planner, the Naval Postgraduate School, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Seminar 21 fellowship.

At sea, RDML Bringham’s assignments included various division officer billets onboard USS Hawkbill (SSN 666), Navigator and Operations Officer of USS Alexandria (SSN 757), and Executive Officer of USS Virginia (SSN 774). RDML Bringham commanded USS Bremerton (SSN 698) and Submarine Squadron 1.

Ashore, RDML Bringham served on the staffs of Submarine Squadron 22 in La Maddalena, Italy, the U. S. Pacific Command Strategic Planning and Policy Directorate (J5), the Chief of Naval Personnel, and Submarine Squadron 1, as Executive Assistant to the director, Undersea Warfare Division (N97) in Washington, D.C, and as Assistant Deputy Director for Regional Operations (J-35) and Executive Assistant to the Director for Operations (J-3) on the Joint Staff, Washington, D.C. His most recent tour was on the staff of the Vice Chief of Naval Operations. RDML Bringham reported to the Joint Staff in June 2025.

RDML Bringham has completed five overseas deployments in support of submarine operations in the Pacific Command, European Command, and Africa Command Areas of Responsibility. He and his family live in Arlington, Virginia.
