NEWPORT, R.I. (May 14, 2021) Rear Adm. Shoshana S. Chatfield, president of the U.S. Naval War College (NWC), returns an Officer Candidate School (OCS) graduate's salute from OCS class 10-21, May 14. OCS is one of five officer training schools located aboard Naval Station Newport, Rhode Island and was established in 1951. The oldest institution of its kind in the world, the U.S. Naval War College offers graduate education to military officers and national security professionals and is accredited to award the Master of Arts degree.
