“Emergency preparedness is a prevention measure. Focusing on your and your family’s emergency readiness will prevent risk, stress, property damage and many other hardships that follow natural disasters and large scale emergencies.” said Judith Wright, Family Emergency Response Program Analyst with Fleet and Family Support Program for CNIC. “During National Preparedness Month, the Navy and other federal organizations are offering numerous opportunities to learn how to increase your family’s emergency readiness. Each week in September will focus on different preparedness themes: Make a Plan; Teach Youth about Preparedness; Protect Your Family & Your Property; and Tapping into Your Navy Response Support.
