The Commander Naval Air Forces Pacific (CNAP) N1 Directorate (Manpower and Personnel) hosted a ceremony dedicating the N1 Conference Room as the Mr. Gary "Bos" Bostron Conference Room, March 18.

Gary Bostron was the long-time Personnel Readiness Division program manager, who passed away a little over a year ago after his 10-year battle with cancer.

Attending the dedication were his wife, Karen Bostron, his three daughters, 12 other members of the Bostron family and several teammates from his weekend warrior golf group. Also attending were Vice Adm. Shoemaker, Senior Executive Services Kathy Baran (former N1 director), Capt. Cheevers (CNAP Chief of Staff), Capt. John Nell (former N1 director), and Cmdr. Maria Lorio (former deputy top Gary Bostron).

The conference room was a self-help project decorated to highlight Gary Bostron's more than 40 years of military and civilian service to the Navy and tenure at CNAP where his inspirational leadership, uncommon foresight, and tireless work ethic were directly responsible for a decade of superior personnel readiness of Naval Aviation activities numbering over 80,000 personnel.

The ceremony concluded with the unveiling of a large mural painted by Personnel Specialist 2nd Class Kierstan Garrett, an N1 Sailor, dedicated to Gary and his passion for golf. The N1 conference room will forever be known as the "Bos" Room.
