NAVFAC Northwest Awards $20 Million Contract

SILVERDALE, Wash. - Naval Facilities Engineering Command Northwest announced on Thursday September 17, 2015 a $20 million contract was awarded for a firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery indefinite-quantity architect-engineering contract to Berger ABAM of Federal Way, Wash.
SILVERDALE, Wash. - Naval Facilities Engineering Command Northwest announced on Thursday September 17, 2015 a $20 million contract was awarded for a firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery indefinite-quantity architect-engineering contract to Berger ABAM of Federal Way, Wash. "This contract will allow us [NAVFAC Northwest] to make decisions and execute work based upon sound analysis that reinforces our fiscal responsibility to our supported commands, the U.S. Navy and the American people," said Capt. Mark Geronime, commanding officer of NAVFAC Northwest. Geronime went on to say "I'm very proud of the high caliber work my folks achieve in developing and awarding a contract of this magnitude." This contract provides primarily for the preparation of design/build requests for proposal for the bidding on contracts for design/build or fully designed renovation or new facility and new construction contracts. Projects may include facility and utility infrastructure on or near a waterfront. Other projects may include aircraft runways and facilities commonly found on or near an airfield. Seismic upgrades to locations susceptible to earthquake damage, cranes and elevators, site development and storm and sanitary drainage. Services may also include cost estimating, economic analysis, engineering studies and seismic analysis of existing structures. This contract will support architectural projects located primarily within the eleven States that comprise NAVFAC Northwest's area of responsibility. Those states include Alaska, Idaho, Iowa, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oregon, Minnesota, Montana, South Dakota, Washington and Wyoming. This contract value will not exceed $20 million with a term of one base year and up to four one-year options. Task orders will range from $1,000 up to $1,500,000.
