The second annual United Nations Command (UNC) Sending States (SS) Mine Countermeasure Symposium will run, Nov. 2-6, on Yongsan Army Garrison.

Commander, Naval Forces Korea, the UN component commander during Armistice, is hosting the week-long talks in order to exchange expertise and discuss methods to enhance coordination and training in critical mine countermeasures capabilities among the partner nations.

Participants for the symposium include representatives from Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Netherlands, the Republic of Korea, the United Kingdom and Thailand.

UNC SS navies routinely plan, exchange information, train and operate together to strengthen coordination and improve combined capabilities.
