Naval Beach Group 2 Holds Change of Command Ceremony

Capt. Eric J. Anderson transferred leadership of Naval Beach Group (NBG) 2 to Capt. Erik R. Nilsson during a change of command ceremony held aboard Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek, Mar. 6, 2020.

NBG 2 provides the Navy personnel and equipment to conduct amphibious operations, certifications, and exercises supporting ship-to-shore movement operations in support of theater and fleet readiness requirements throughout the U.S. 2nd, 4th, 6th and 5th Fleet areas of operation.

Prior to Nilsson assuming command, he served as the commanding officer of Assault Craft Unit 4.
