A civilian employee working at the Naval Station Everett Childcare Development Center tested positive yesterday for Coronavirus (COVID -19).

The individual is in isolation at home and taking proper precautions consistent with CDC guidelines. 

The base Childcare Development Center was closed immediately for cleaning until April 6. During that time, the facility will be disinfected and sanitized.

Affected families are being notified by the Childcare Development Center director and we are investigating childcare alternatives.

Protection for our Sailors, Marines, federal civilian personnel, and their families is a priority.

The Navy will continue to coordinate with federal and local agencies to reduce risk of exposure and help slow the spread of disease.”
