This year’s Sioux Falls Navy Week holds special significance as it coincides with the U.S. Navy’s 250th birthday - a historic milestone celebrating a quarter-millennium of maritime excellence, national security, and global leadership.

More than 50 Sailors will take part in Sioux Falls Navy Week, connecting with the community and sharing their experiences serving in the Fleet. For Sioux Falls native and Director, Air Warfare, Rear Adm. Michael Wosje, Navy Week is a meaningful opportunity to return home and highlight the vital role communities like Sioux Falls play in building the Navy’s strength.

"It's an honor to bring Navy Week home to where my journey began,” said Wosje. “The sense of service, resilience, and pride that I grew up with in Sioux Falls mirrors the spirit of our Navy. As we celebrate 250 years of naval service, I’m proud to share our story with the community that shaped me and remind everyone that the strength of our Navy begins in hometowns like this.”
