The United States Navy will bring Billings Navy Week to the Treasure State of Montana, Aug. 17-23, offering residents a unique opportunity to meet Sailors, experience naval traditions, and gain a deeper understanding of the Navy’s role in national defense and global security.
As part of a nationwide outreach effort and celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, Navy Week connects communities without a large naval presence to the men and women who serve. Throughout the week, Sailors will participate in a wide range of events across Billings, including the Yellowstone International Air Show, community events and service projects, youth engagements, and live music performances.
“Billings Navy Week is about building lasting connections,” said Cmdr. Julie Holland. “We’re not just here to showcase what the Navy does, but to engage directly with the community, inspire future generations, and demonstrate the values of service, teamwork, and leadership.”
Highlights of the week will include:
Navy Week also provides a platform for Billings residents to learn more about career opportunities in the Navy, including paths in STEM, law, cybersecurity, music, and special operations.
The event highlights the Navy’s commitment to strengthening relationships with communities nationwide while honoring the service and sacrifice of those who wear the uniform. The Navy Week program has visited more than 100 U.S. markets since the program’s inception in 2005.
