Virginia-class attack submarine USS Oregon (SSN 793) arrived at His Majesty’s Naval Base Clyde in Faslane, Scotland, for a scheduled port visit, July 20, 2026. 

The visit is part of the submarine’s routine deployment to the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations. While in Faslane, the submarine will conduct routine maintenance and replenish essential supplies. The port call also provides the crew with a well-earned opportunity for rest, relaxation, and the chance to experience the local culture after an underway period.

Oregon is currently executing a range of operations in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations, supporting national security objectives and enhancing interoperability with NATO Allies and partners. 

U.S. 6th Fleet, headquartered in Naples, Italy, conducts the full spectrum of joint and naval operations, often in concert with Allied and interagency partners, to advance U.S. national interests, security and stability in Europe and Africa.
