Rear Adm. Bette Bolivar, commander, Navy Region Southeast, has directed Navy commands in Florida, Georgia and South Carolina to return to normal operations when safe to do so.

The following commands that will return to full mission operations Sept. 12, include:
- Naval Support Activity (NSA) Orlando, Florida
- Naval Air Station (NAS) Pensacola, Florida
- NAS Whiting Field, Florida
- NSA Panama City, Florida
- Naval Support Facility (NSF) Beaufort, South Carolina
- Navy Operational Support Centers (NOSC) in West Palm Beach, Miami, and Tallahassee, Florida; Bessemer, Alabama; Augusta and Columbus, Georgia; and Greenville, Columbia, and Charleston, South Carolina.

Military personnel, civilian employees and families who fall under these commands are authorized to return. Personnel should check with their supervisors for the date/time they are to return to work.

Commands that are open only to mission essential personnel include:
- Naval Station (NS) Mayport, Florida
- NAS Jacksonville, Florida
- Naval Submarine Base (NSB) Kings Bay, Georgia
- NAS Key West, Florida
- Naval Ordnance Test Unit (NOTU), Port Canaveral, Florida
- Naval Support Activity Orlando, Florida
- NOSC Orlando and Tampa, Florida

Those commands will be recalling additional mission essential personnel on a staggered basis based on the following:

When they can safely return and for those who are needed to maintain command and control, support search and rescue (SAR) and recovery operations, and to sustain or restore essential services.

NAS Key West, the hardest hit of Navy Region Southeast's installation, is continuing to assess the damage. The base has directly contacted specific mission essential personnel to return to help restore essential services. Runway operations are restricted while restoration is in progress. It's important for those personnel and families who evacuated from the base to understand it will take time to make the necessary repairs to ensure facilities and housing are available and safe. The command is working with Navy Region Southeast to continuously update Facebook and Twitter as new information is received.

Emergency Family Assistance Centers or administrative offices will be opened on installations or at individual commands to assist personnel and families with processing travel claims.

Personnel and families asked to watch for updates on their command's Facebook page or Navy Region Southeast's Facebook page at www.facebook.com/NavyRegionSE.
