Giordano concluded his first visit to naval bases and tenant commands as the MCPON April 20, in the Pacific Northwest (PACNORWEST) after a four-day tour. Giordano's Fleet engagement trip began with a breakfast social with area Sailors of the Year and Sailors of the Quarter at Naval Station Whidbey Island. "It's motivating to talk to engaged and smart Sailors such as the ones here in PACNORWEST. They follow the news and are interested in how the Navy is planning to deal with future challenges." Giordano continued his trip in Washington by visiting Naval Station Everett and Naval Station Bangor. He also visited Naval Hospital Oak Harbor, USS Henry M. Jackson (SSBN 730), Naval Hospital Bremerton and USS John C.
