Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard to Hold Public Performances During Fleet Week New York

During Fleet Week New York (FWNY), Navy Band Northeast, U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) Silent Drill Team and Marine Corps (USMC) Battle Color Detachment are scheduled to perform at various locations, May 23-28.

Tuesday, May 23rd
* Noon - 1:15 p.m., Central Park | Manhattan, N.Y. - Navy Band Northeast will perform a concert in Central Park's Naumburg Band Shell.

Wednesday, May 24th
* 1 - 1:30 p.m., 9/11 Memorial Plaza | Manhattan, N.Y. - USCG Silent Drill Team will perform on the 9/11 Memorial Plaza.

Thursday, May 25th
* 9 - 9:30 a.m., 9/11 Memorial Plaza | Manhattan, N.Y. - USCG Silent Drill Team will perform on the 9/11 Memorial Plaza.

* 11 - 11:30 a.m., Metropolitan Museum of Art (1000 Fifth Ave.) | Manhattan, N.Y. - USCG Silent Drill Team will perform at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Friday, May 26th
* 1:15 - 1:45 p.m., 9/11 Memorial Plaza | Manhattan, N.Y. - USCG Silent Drill Team will perform on the 9/11 Memorial Plaza.

* 5:30 - 6 p.m., Military Island (Times Square) | Manhattan, N.Y. - USCG Silent Drill Team will perform at Military Island in Times Square.

* 8 - 9:15 p.m., Military Island (Times Square) | Manhattan, N.Y. - Navy Band Northeast's Rock Band, Rhode Island Sound, will perform at Military Island in Times Square.

Saturday, May 27th
* 2:30 p.m. (tentative), Prospect Park | Brooklyn, N.Y. - USMC Battle Color Detachment is scheduled to perform during Marine Day at Prospect Park.

* 10 a.m. - noon, Eisenhower Park | East Meadow, N.Y. - Navy Band Northeast's Rock Band, Rhode Island Sound, will perform at Eisenhower Park.

* 11 - 11:30 p.m., Intrepid, Pier 86 | Manhattan, N.Y. - USCG Silent Drill Team will perform on the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, Pier 86.

* 2 - 2:30 p.m., Intrepid, Pier 86 | Manhattan, N.Y. - USCG Silent Drill Team will perform on the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, Pier 86.

* 3:30 - 4 p.m., Military Island (Times Square) | Manhattan, N.Y. - USCG Silent Drill Team will perform at Military Island in Times Square.

* 6 - 7:15 p.m., Military Island (Times Square) | Manhattan, N.Y. - Navy Band Northeast's Rock Band, Rhode Island Sound, will perform at Military Island in Times Square.

* 8 - 9 p.m., Father Duffy Square (Times Square) | Brooklyn, N.Y. - USMC Battle Color Detachment is scheduled to perform in Times Square in front of the TKTS red steps.

Sunday, May 28th
* 10 - 10:30 a.m., 9/11 Memorial Plaza | Manhattan, N.Y. - USMC Battle Color Detachment is scheduled to perform at the conclusion of the Fleet Week Freedom Run.

* Noon - 5 p.m., Liberty State Park | Jersey City, N.J. - Event will include a performance by Navy Band Northeast.

* 4 - 5:15 p.m., Military Island (Times Square) | Manhattan, N.Y. - Navy Band Northeast's Rock Band, Rhode Island Sound, will perform at Military Island in Times Square.

It is an unparalleled opportunity for the citizens of New York and the surrounding tri-state area to meet Sailors, Marines and Coast Guardsmen, as well as witness firsthand the latest capabilities of today's maritime services. FWNY will be commemorating the 75th Anniversary of Naval Construction Forces' "Seabees."
