Commander, Navy Recruiting Region East, Capt. William Cox, relieved Cmdr. Patrick M. Callan as executive officer, Navy Recruiting District (NRD) Atlanta, Dec. 13, due to loss of confidence in his ability to command and substandard performance over an extended period of time.

Navy Recruiting Command is in process of identifying a replacement for Cmdr. Callan. The position will be gapped temporarily until a replacement can be slated into the position.

Callan became the NRD Atlanta executive officer in January 2016. He has been reassigned to Navy Operations Support Center Atlanta pending further action.
