This week's overview of alleged sexual assaults is compiled based on 10 initial reports across the Navy from September 7-13.
This week's overview of alleged sexual assaults is compiled based on 10 initial reports across the Navy from September 7-13. This timeframe reflects only the receipt of the initial reports; five of the reported incidents occurred during this period and five occurred outside of the report period. Each report will be fully investigated. Looking at this snapshot in time, we see the following: * Six reports are from events that occurred on-base and four are from events that occurred off-base. * Of the 10 alleged offenders, one was a chief petty officer, five were petty officers, one was E-3 and below and three were unknown. * Eight of the alleged offenders were male, one was female and one was unknown. * Nine of the reported incidents were alleged to be service member on service member and one was unknown. * Among the 10 alleged victims, four were petty officers, five were E-3 and below and one was unknown.
