Sexual Assault Reports: November 2015

This month's overview of alleged sexual assaults is compiled based on 58 initial reports across the Navy from Nov. 1-30.
This month's overview of alleged sexual assaults is compiled based on 58 initial reports across the Navy from Nov. 1-30. This timeframe reflects only the receipt of the initial reports; eighteen of the reported incidents occurred during this period, 18 of the reported incidents occurred outside of the report period and 22 occurred at an unknown time.

Each report will be fully investigated. Looking at this snapshot in time, we see the following:

* Fifteen reports are from events that occurred on-base, 18 are from events that occurred off-base and 25 events occurred at unknown locations.

* Among the 58 alleged offenders, one is an officer, one is a chief petty officer, eight are petty officers, three are E-3 and below and 45 are unknown. Sixteen of the alleged offenders are male, one is female and 41 are unknown.

* Seventeen of the reported incidents were alleged to be service member on service member, one was service member on non-service member and 40 were unknown.

* Among the 58 alleged victims, two are midshipmen, 34 are petty officers, 21 are E-3 and below, and one is a civilian. Forty-six of the alleged victims are female and 12 are male.
